Call to Worship on Sunday

   
Much of West Texas is struggling with terrible drought conditions. 17,000 acres, 34 homes were burned here on Saturday. The winds were gusting 40+ mph. West of here at Fort Davis, 45-50 homes have been destroyed, over 60,000 acres have burned. We are so very thankful for all those who have fought these fires and protected so many. Today was one of the first days in a while where we didn't see smoke in some direction on the horizon.

Sunday morning, this was our "call to worship." 

Our mayor is planning to call a Day of Prayer to ask the Lord to show mercy and send rain to the parched land. We ask the Lord to nourish the ground with moisture and our spirits with His Spirit.
