Elizabeth: Girl Photographer

We have another young photographer in the family. Elizabeth, our 13 year old, is following in big sister Hannah's footsteps.

 This is her beloved Mitzi. 

Visitors to the backyard hummingbird feeder.

 I love the contrast in this one between the dust at the horse's hooves and the water spraying from a sprinkler in the background. Elizabeth wants a horse so very badly, she aches. 

She is already learning things about her camera that I didn't learn until this year! 

We have had so many little cottontails in the yard this year. This one came into the girls' room to play for a little while.

 If only that power line wasn't in the way! Look at those talons a split second before it lands!

 It just spied its next meal! Ready, set, ATTACK!

Poor old grackle probably never saw him coming. 


I think that's an incredible shot.
