It was a special time for Caleb as Kregg asked him to take Ben's confession of faith and help baptize him. Caleb asked the Lord for brothers for years before they arrived from Siberia.
And to share in our joy, Kregg's parents drove 2 1/2 hours each way and Jeremiah, Hannah and Samuel drove 2 hours each way to witness their confessions of faith and their immersion, in obedience to the Lord. Mackenzy was the only one who was unable to be there. But she was rejoicing with us.
Kregg asked his father to pray a blessing over all those baptized. In addition to our three, there were two other young girls he was privileged to bless.
We are so very blessed by the Lord and we simply praise Him, in overwhelming gratitude and awe of what He has done for us.
For Kregg and I each to have been brought up in a heritage of Faith, is a blessing for which we will never be able to express sufficient gratitude--and we are thrilled to continue passing the generational blessing on to our children, knowing they will pass it on to theirs. There are four generations of our family in this picture. My parents would loved to have lived to witness this day.
Even if you don't come from a heritage of faith, your children can. You can begin that generational blessing that will reach into a future you will not witness. There is no greater gift you can give your children than to train them up in the Lord. The generations you don't live to see will be blessed by the choices you make now. If you are reading this and don't know Christ as your Lord and Savior, I would be happy to hear from you, or pray for you, or talk to you. Send me an email. Talk to someone you know who walks with Him. It changes everything!
God is SO GOOD! He is the only One Worthy of our praises!
