First Ever Fast
The four younger kids just finished up their first ever fast. They went 24 hours without food to dedicate themselves to prayer for a woman they have never met. New Life Church, where we are members, helps to support a couple, the Workmans, as they planted a church in Pearland, TX near Houston. The wife has cancer and it is very serious. They have small children. New spots have been found on her brain. So today was declared Cathy Workman Day and the entire church was asked to fast and pray for the Lord to heal her. The kids wanted to participate. I really wondered how they would deal with it. I wondered how school would go. They were such troopers. No one even complained. I am amazed. I am thankful. What will the Lord will be able to do with them as they get older?
