I tend to be a "shortest-distance-between-two-points" person. Ways to increase efficiency frequently pop into my brain concerning all our "systems", "projects" and "activities." That can be very helpful when managing all the logistics for a large family. But, if focused on too much, it can suck all the fun out of the room. As always, balance is the issue that requires constant vigilance on my part. The longer I have been at this "job" of mothering/homemaking/homeschooling , the easier it has become for me to forget frivolity. How boring! It makes me sad when I find myself being silly around friends and then realize I forgot to be silly with the kids today. So as a simple personal reminder, I decided to buzz through the small percentage of family photos I actually have on my laptop and remind myself to walk in balance.

You know they have height restrictions to make sure you aren't too short
to ride something this dangerous.

You just never know what to expect next at our house. But it's never dull.
