This part of the country could really use prayers right now. We live in West Texas and from here up into the Texas Panhandle and over into New Mexico there are 45+ mph winds combined with 2% humidity and no measurable rain since September. Fires are burning in many places. Kregg's brother and sister-in-law have had to leave their home near Amarillo. There are houses burning close to theirs and they have grabbed some pictures and moved to a safer area. They live 200 miles north of here. The areas affected cover hundreds of miles. We have been out of town and just returned this afternoon. The interstate is closed for 20 miles here because of fires and wrecks. The wind isn't supposed to die down until tonight, but we are asking the Lord to stop the winds and send rains to all these areas.
UPDATE @ 9:20 p.m. : We are so very thankful!! Kregg's brother and sister-in-law helped fight fires up to their street! But they are out now with no damage to their house. We are so thankful! The wind is still very strong, but not like earlier. Thank you so much for the prayer coverage.
